Little Blue's first survey!

For Blue's first survey, I decided to answer each question with first-person Little Blue quotes, either actual quotes he's said or things his dad and I have guessed from his toddler-speak in various situations before. Almost everything has an exclamation mark because toddlers don't feel things just a little bit; nearly any situation makes them either mad, sad, or glad. They don't have a lot of middle ground. :)

3. WHEN DID YOU LAST CRY? Tonight at dinner I tried to pick up my french fries and they were still hot! It made me mad and sad!

4. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? I draw pretty pictures for mommy!

5. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? Peanutbutter!!

6. KIDS? I'm a big boy!

7. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? What? What's you say?? What you saying?

8. DO YOU HAVE A JOURNAL? I like books!

9. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT? What? What's that you are saying there??

10.WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP? I can jump with both my foots off the ground, watch!

11. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS?? Look in my mouth! That's my tongue in there!

12. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL? Corn Pops!

13. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? My shoes have velcro and red lights!

37. WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING? White! Blue! *mom says Blue's shorts are orange. His shirt matches his shorts* Orange! *gets a high five from mom*

38. SUMMER OR WINTER? Is it raining, mommie? Is those clouds gonna rained on us?

39. HUGS OR KISSES? Yay! Say yay, mommie! *mommie says "yay!"* Good job, mommie!

40. FAVORITE DESSERT? Cookies!

41. WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND? What? Huh?

42. LEAST LIKELY TO RESPOND? Um, I don't know!

43. WHAT BOOKS ARE YOU READING? Let's read the fishy book Mommie! No, I can read you a story, Mommie. I can read you this story! (For the record, Little Blue can't read yet. But every story he "reads" starts with "Once upon a time" and ends with "The End." He makes up the middle part.)

44. WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? What? Where's the mouse? I don't see no mouse.

45. WHAT DID YOU WATCH LAST NIGHT ON TV? KIPPER!!!!!!!

46. FAVORITE SOUNDS? I like this music Daddy, make it louder! Sing with me, Mommie Daddy! Look, I'm bouncing!

47. ROLLING STONE OR BEATLES? What? Where's that buggy?! Is it a 'pider??

48. THE FURTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME? Can we go see [the daycare lady's name] today? (Little Blue has been to California but doesn't realize how far away that is.)

49. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT? I can put my underwear on all by myself!!

50. WHEN AND WHERE WERE YOU BORN? I'm two! *holds up thumb and pointer finger in an L-shape, cause it's easier than the grown-up v-shaped two*

Aunt and Uncle watching LB while Pink and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner a couple nights back, and they had mentioned Uncle had taught LB to dribble his soccar ball.

Well, due to rain, we've been grilling, but we haven't been playign outside much.

But, last night, Little Blue was dribbling almost like a pro. As long as the ball went in a straight line, he could keep it that way with both feet, but once it hit a bump in the yard, he didn't have the coordination to keep it going. So, he'd stop, get behind the ball, and shoot it in the "goal (aka, Dad's legs.)

We'd scream "Goal!" and I'd kick the ball back to him. Repeat. Laugh, enjoy.

Little Man turned into a tyrant when he couldn't drop kick the ball though. He saw me keep it up in the air for a few kicks and wanted to try it, so I showed him how to drop the ball and kick at the same time.

Tried twice..."Not fair! Can't do it! Ball! Ball! Not fair!" Then he went to go play with his tricycle.

Patience and practice. The good news is that he honestly seems to enjoy playing soccer even though he's never seen it played before. He likes the kicking, the running, and especially the goal part. Pink keeps asking me if I'd consider coaching his soccer team, and with 7 years of playing under my belt, I probably could, but I think I'd enjoy watching my son play rather than trying to make sure all of the kids got their shot.

Dunno...we'll see LB, we'll see.
